EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

LACROSSE BALL

Best piece of equipment you’ll ever own. Awesome for getting to those hard to reach places that are tight, and in need of release. Myofascial release to be specific.

Portable, small, also fun to throw and bounce…

Resistance Bands

If you’re starting your fitness journey, or want to do online sessions with me then definitely look into getting some of these. They are the easiest way to warm up, mobilise and even get a good sweat with!! Big thumbs up from me!

FOAM ROLLER

The other piece of mobility that will be super useful for you - again release those tight muscles but this is slightly less intense than the Lacrosse Ball above! Good for beginners!

PRETTY ATHLETIC

ACTIVE SKIN CARE AMBASSADOR

This company holds a special place in my heart. I have used their products for 4 years now, and am Ambassador for them. A small business run by Leyla.

Sweat is Good | Exercise is amazing. It boosts your mood and wellbeing, promotes better sleep, helps keep weight under control, and boosts blood flow and oxygen to the skin. Yet whilst working up a sweat regularly is super amazing for your skin, we also know that sweating, regular showering, and exercising outside can strip away key lipid components from the skin's surface and cause common skincare concerns such as clogged pores, redness, irritation, dehydration and inflammation.

As seen in Vogue, Women's Health, Harper's Bazaar, Telegraph, Guardian, Metro.

CLOTHING

Now I get asked this all the time. For a few reasons - one I’m short, two I’ve got boobs, 3 I’m a PT. What works for everyone will be different so this is no gospel - just simple recommendations.

My top brands are:

ROBBIES SHOOT 1.jpg

SPORTS BRAS:

  1. SPORTS JOCK ON BOOBYDOO - this is my number one recommendation. No wire, doesn’t come up too high on the arm pits, solid impact support for me.

  2. Shock Absorber - also decent but depends on style as to whether it cuts my underarms!

  3. Nike (only occasionally for the larger breasted people out there no high impact stuff) but comfyyyyyyyyy AF

LEGGINGS:

  1. NIKE - spenny, but durable, do wear out quicker than Lululemons; often have pockets and the ties to hold you up!

  2. LULULEMON - always decent but spenny. had mine for years though, softttttttt and excellent designs, go for the pockets always

  3. GYMSHARK- spenny, not always worth it but good sales. Durable. Some too high waisted so check your sizing!!!

  4. ASOS - cheap, mostly not see through but double check!

TSHIRTS / HODDIES / JACKETS

Tops are easier to find and easier to get cheaper ones too!!

  1. THE YARD, CRANK - always support your local!

  2. LULULEMON - spenny but soft.

  3. NIKE- often funkier designs and styles nice to add some colour and freshness - go for sale or kids sizes!!

  4. SWEATY BETTY- similar to the above but spenny!

  5. ASOS - cheap cheerful. sweat does stick in them if you use ordinary deodorant.

  6. MY PROTEIN - sale options always a steal. and not too bad quality.

Books to read

WHY WE SLEEP - MATTHEW WALKER

I highly recommend this book if you want to learn more about the power of the snooze.

Helped me massively - cannot recommend enough! Either Audio (as I listened to it) or buy the actual book. TRANSFORMATIVE!
